Project Summary:
The scope of services includes conducting a detailed business and operational analysis in support of the Common Use Action Committee’s direction and goals to help produce the Authority’s business case regarding the development and implementation of the long-term strategy for common use at the San Diego International Airport. To date, work activities have included:
- Participate as a Committee member and attend
monthly business planning meetings.
Project review activities include:
- Cost / Benefit (ROI) analysis
- Business and financial models for common use
- Potential benefit and risks, provide costing analysis and consider scenarios for airport pricing models
- Conduct High-level opinion of probable cost of the common use strategy
- Assist with the technical evaluation of common use and special systems providers
On-going activities include:
- Identify and understand the financial, operational, liability, safety, customer service, and competitive elements of common use to the utilization of airport facilities and the provision of services
- Provide detailed analyses and information enabling individual airports and airlines to evaluate the feasibility and applicability of implementing common use
- Provide common practices for evaluating, implementing, operating, and maintaining common use facilities and services.
Project Status:
This project is on time and in the budget set. Work continues, as directed.
