Research Projects
Industry Research (TRB/ACRP)The Transportation Research Board (TRB) is one of six major divisions of the National Research Council, which serves as an independent advisor to the federal government and others on scientific and technical questions of national importance. The mission of the TRB is to provide leadership in transportation innovation and progress through research and information exchange. The Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP), which is managed by the TRB, is an industry‐driven, applied research program that develops near‐term, practical solutions to problems faced by airport operators. ACRP products are a series of research reports that airport operators, FAA, consultants, and other interested parties can consult in addressing airport issues. Additional information can be found on the TRB website, www.trb.org/acrp. The research is conducted by contractors who are selected on the basis of competitive proposals.
