Project Summary:

Barich Inc. is managing the implementation of a work order management system that will use Smart phones for Airport field staff to receive work orders while on the Airport campus, and scan in device QR codes to start and stop time recorded against the service order request.  The project is a second phase of the recently deployed FAA Part 139 inspection tool and will be developed with in-house resources.  The project will replace the existing paper-based system and will interface with the City’s work order and time keeping SAP systems.

As part of this project, Barich, Inc. is responsible for overall project execution including adhereing to schedule and bringing in expert resources in Information Technology and engaging outside supplier’s experts as needed. Specific duties include conducting and documenting business and process interviews with appropriate Aviation and City staff; preparing draft versions of planning and project documents for Management review; participate in Steering Committee and Sponsor meetings; conducting research; and reporting on status, actual versus planned results, and make recommendations. Barich, Inc. will work closely with the Implementation team to ensure a regulated and common understanding in the approach and methodology of progress report development.

Project Status:

Currently the project has completed business requirement and functional specifications.  The Airport also conducted a device and connectivity field trial.  The next phase will be the actual implementation.
