Project Summary:

Barich, Inc. was employed to develop the requirements for a comprehensive Airport Geographical Information System (GIS) program including scope of work, RFP evaluation criteria, and contract. Once the set of project constituting the program was awarded, Barich, Inc. project managed the entire implementation of a suite of 11 projects, extensive airport data development and the establishment of a GIS development shop staff with FTE and contract staff.

Major highlights of the program included:

  1. Comprehensive data development including asset identification and synchronization with SAP Plant Maintenance
  2. Web-based GIS portal available to all airport employees
  3. Portable tablet-based Part 139 inspection system integrating the GIS with the work order system
  4. Property Management module linking real estate information to GIS
  5. Aerial Photography catalog system
  6. Planning toolset to scope out new projects and perform asset conflict analysis
  7. Integration of separate Noise system into GIS database
  8. Establishment of a GIS and application support staff of 11 personnel
  9. Creation of policies, procedures, and standards
