Barich assists Phoenix Sky Harbor
  • Rental Car Center Construction (technology specification review)
  • South Concourse Construction (technology specification review).

As the new contract term begins, Barich, Inc. continues to provide Project Management services in support of the Automated Vehicle Identification (AVI) system implementation project and the Geographic Information System (GIS) implementation project. Both provide airport-wide solutions totaling a combined capital cost of over $17 million. Barich, Inc. staff is also currently working with the Department to help define long-term requirements for Common Use Technology Systems.

As with the first contract, the new contract requires Barich staff to coordinate project requirements with all Divisions of the Aviation Department. In doing so, Barich, Inc. has provided guidance and direction with key areas including evaluation of intellegent monitoring systems for use with CCTV, and the preparation of Airport policies and procedures for technology installations.
Since May 2001, the road to success has not been easy. Priority projects, such as the replacement of the existing Access Control System had to be accelerated. New and unexpected projects, such as the selection and implementation of an Automated Fingerprint Identification System required the shifting and review of priorities. Barich, Inc. has met each challenge head-on and proven to be flexible and able to turn those challenges into successes. Barich, Inc. is committed to the success of this program and will continue to provide the necessary support required by the Aviation Department.
